Petra Nightingale, Senior Financial Strategist

Petra Nightingale

Senior Financial Strategist

Petra started her career at a small regional bank in 2008, right during the financial crisis. That experience taught her the importance of understanding risk management from day one. She spent eight years working with institutional clients before transitioning to education-focused roles in 2016.

What drives her is helping people decode financial jargon. She believes that understanding concepts like asset allocation and market cycles shouldn't require a finance degree. Her approach focuses on breaking down complex topics into manageable pieces.

Dashiell Montgomery

Investment Research Director

Dashiell's background is a bit unconventional – he actually studied economics and journalism before finding his way into financial research. This combination gives him a unique perspective on how economic trends translate into real-world impacts for investors and businesses.

He spent five years as a research analyst at various investment firms before joining trinovarise in 2019. His strength lies in taking complex economic data and research reports and explaining what they actually mean for different types of investors and market participants.

Our Approach to Financial Education

We believe financial literacy should be accessible, practical, and focused on building genuine understanding rather than quick fixes or unrealistic promises.

E

Evidence-Based Learning

Our educational content is grounded in established financial principles and historical market data. We focus on teaching concepts that have proven valuable over time rather than chasing the latest trends.

P

Practical Application

Every concept we cover includes real-world examples and practical exercises. We want learners to understand how financial principles apply to actual decision-making situations they might encounter.

T

Transparency First

We're upfront about the complexities and risks in financial markets. Our educational approach emphasizes understanding uncertainty and developing skills to navigate changing conditions rather than making unrealistic promises.

L

Long-term Perspective

We emphasize building knowledge and skills that will remain relevant throughout changing market conditions. Our focus is on developing analytical thinking rather than memorizing specific strategies or tactics.

Why We Started trinovarise

The idea for trinovarise came from countless conversations with people who felt overwhelmed by financial information. Many had tried to learn about investing or financial planning but found most resources either too basic or impossibly technical.

We noticed that much financial education focuses on either get-rich-quick schemes or dense academic theory. There seemed to be a gap for practical, honest education that helps people develop genuine understanding without unrealistic expectations.

Financial markets are complex and unpredictable. Our job isn't to pretend otherwise – it's to help people develop the knowledge and analytical skills to make informed decisions in an uncertain environment.

Since launching in early 2023, we've focused on creating educational content that respects both the complexity of financial topics and the intelligence of our learners. Our upcoming comprehensive program, launching in September 2025, will provide structured learning over six months, covering everything from basic financial concepts to advanced market analysis techniques.
